Does Amptex charge a call-out fee?

No. Amptex does not charge a separate call-out fee. Our minimum charge is the first hour of labour.

What you pay instead

If our team can fix the problem within the first hour without using any materials, the first-hour labour charge is the only amount you pay. If the job needs more time or materials, we explain the cost before we continue.

After hours and on weekends

There is still no call-out fee, but call-outs after hours and over weekends carry a surcharge. Our office confirms the applicable rate before we send the team. Office hours are 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and our emergency line, 011 791 6121, is open 24/7.

Consultations and quotes

Some jobs, such as installations, need an on-site consultation before we can quote. A refundable consultation charge applies to certain jobs, and our office tells you when it applies and how it is refunded. Quotations are valid for 7 days and are subject to supplier pricing. Installations require a 75% deposit before we order materials.

If you need to cancel

Let us know as early as possible on 011 791 6121. If our team is already on the way when you cancel, the first-hour labour charge still applies.
