Commercial drains
Drains running freely, ablutions back in service
A blocked kitchen drain can stop a restaurant, and a backed-up stack can close every bathroom on a floor. We clear blockages in sinks, toilets, gullies and shared drains at offices, shops and complexes, and tell you if the problem is likely to return.
- Cleared, then checkedWe run water through to confirm the drain flows
- Repeat blockages flaggedIf it keeps coming back, we recommend a camera inspection
- Quick clears cost lessDone within an hour, no materials? That hour is all you pay

Clearing drains around trading hours
Drain work is messy, and kitchens and bathrooms can't always close. We agree when the affected facility can be out of use, keep the work area contained and clean up before we leave. For food outlets, an early-morning or after-close visit keeps trading going.
- Affected facilities closed only as agreed
- Drain access points shown to us on arrival
- Public kept away from open drains
- Work area cleaned before we leave
- Cause of the blockage explained to you

Facilities FAQs
Drain questions from restaurant, office and complex managers
Why does our drain keep blocking?
Grease, wipes and a damaged or poorly sloped pipe are the usual causes. Clearing removes the blockage; finding out why it returns may need a camera inspection.
Is a camera inspection included?
Not as standard. If the drain blocks again soon after clearing, we recommend one and quote it separately.
Is the blockage ours or the municipality's?
Drains on your property are your responsibility; the municipal sewer belongs to Johannesburg Water. We tell you which side of the connection the blockage is on.
Can you clear drains for several units in one visit?
Yes. List the affected units or floors, and we work through them on one visit where we can. Tell us which units share a drain, because that often points to where the blockage is.
